The French will hold the Russian right while vigorously pushing across Reichenbach in order to cut the Marksdorf road with the cavalry. The Russians will try to hold Reichenbach and the heights behind, while concentrating the cavalry in the left flank.

11.00 h. The Old Guard Lanciers break through the Russian Mounted Chasseurs... ... but they are halted by the Russian Uhlans and both sides bounce It is now the turn for the Russians dragoons that reject the Old Guard Lanciers, stabilizing the flank
12.00 The Old Guard Chasseurs rout the Russian Hussars with heavy losses... ... but are dispersed by Russian Uhlans! The Red Lanciers rout the Uhlans and, battlemad, disperse the Russian guns also suffering heavy losses
   
 
The fight in the center (11.15 - 13.00 h)
The Reichenbach Jaeger garrison is evicted! (11.15 h.) and the Jaegers from the cemetery are routed by French Line but their Line comrades halt the jubilant French whereas the Russian square hold out the Lanciers de Berg
11.30 h. The Saxons fail against the Russian Line (Tob/1/4/II) before the cemetery while the Wurzburgers take the Russian battery only to re-pass the stream, after been routed by the Russian Reserve 12.00 h. The Russian Tob/1/4/II Reg. is almost encircled but defiantly maintain the position
But Durutte takes control dispersing the Russians (12.15 h.) The Russian center gives way slowly and the French cross the stream (12.30 h) while the Red Lanciers are dispersed by Russian dragoons
which imprudently attack the Old Guard Volante, being crushed by the vigilant Gendarmes whereas the Lanciers de Berg halt again more Russian dragoons (12.45 h) The French infantry routs a Russian square while the Wurzburgers disperse another Russian Regiment (13.00 h)
 
The last combats (13.15 - 13.30h)
(13.15 h) The (2/1LC/I) Cambraceres Brigade routs the Russian Pahlen's Dragoons while the Lanciers de Berg disperse another Russian dragoon Brigade only to be routed by another additional Russian dragoon brigade! which breaks before the omnipresent Old Guard Gendarmes
13.15 h. The Russian center and left are broken and their cavalry is blocked around Marksdorff 13.30 h. The wuzburgers are dispersed after a combined-arms Russian attack
The doubtful Saxons close on the Russian reserves arrived form the right Napoleon is anxiously watching the scene and before that to risk his precious Cuirassier Regiments, he concedes the pursuit
 
FINAL RESULTS
   
Napoleon has risked and lost his Old Guard Light Cavalry and the Russians retired, relatively un-molested, under the protection of their numerous cavalry. Reynier made the wrong choice attacking with the Saxons and demosntrating with the French!
