odd units AT vitoria (june 21, 1813)
Vitoria was the last major battle fought on Spanish soil
during the Peninsular War (June 21, 1813). In that battlefield there
was, in addition to regular units, both sides contained units which were
clad in different, and in occasions, more colourful uniforms than the
regular ones. According to C. Oman 'A History of the Peninsular War'.
