INTRODUCTION
The imprudent movement of Ney in his winter camp triggered the reaction of the Russian army originating a winter battle.

HOUSE RULES
I used the first edition of Napoleon's Battles edited by Avalon Hill. The OOB is a slight modification of the given in the official Scenario. The only modification is the change os cavalry scale to 1/120.

THE BATTLE IN PICTURES

The Rusian line with its left anchored in Serpallen. Davout is coming in the background.
 
The Rusian left (under Bragation) has been ejected from Serpallen and the near heights by the joint attack of Davout, St.Hilaire and the Grouchy's dragoons. The Rusian division has reached its fatigue number so can not advance towards the enemy
 
Meanwhile, the D'Hautpoul's cuirassiers attack the Rusian center, routin several infantry brigades that don't form square
 
1 p.m. The Rusian left still resists tenaciously around Anklapen. Serpallen and K. Sausgarten are in french hands. The Gudin's columns (Davout's III Corps) are advancing in the backgroud to outflank the Rusians.
 
The Old Guard attacks the Rusian center ('all-out attack')
 
The remnants of the Allied army retreat under the protection of the Lestock's Prusian rearguard. The Old Guard has been checked by the fierce allied resistence. Napoléon get a pirric victory!
